It is a smart card based solution in operation since 2000
covering the following activities of Registration and
Licencing office :
- Issue of Driving Licences
- Registration of Motor Vehicles
- Collection of Motor Vehicle Tax
The website of Transport Department "http://chdtransport.gov.in"
can be accessed to retrieve information pertaining to :
- Registration details of vehicles
- International Driving permits
- Theft cases of vehicles
- Details of Habitual offenders
- Lodging grievances and checking status
Property records of
Residential, Commercial, industrial and Institutional are
available on the portal. Details like ownership, Transaction
History, Payment Details etc are also available. One can also
track the file which is under process at Estate Office.
A centralised solution is in
place under which all the 19 courts of the District Courts
complex is computerised. The data is being used to generate
cause list, case details, judgements etc. It is being used by staff and advocates for their day to day working. The details
are also available at "http://chddistrictcourts.gov.in"
A single window counter for public interface has been
provided at Chandigarh Police headquarters to provide a
single point contact for the public, for early redressal of public grievances and better
service to the public. Various services that can be availed
there are - lodging complaints, service verification / passport
verifications, permissions for religious / political
processions, use of loudspeakers, to know the progress of
investigation / pending enquiries, getting copies of FIRs /
untraced reports, NOC for arms licences, etc.
Filing complaints and enquiries regarding the progress of
complaints / requests can be done personally or through
telephone or SMS or fax or email or postal mail.
A solution has been provided for the benefit of CHB beneficiaries regarding various details about
the dwelling units. It includes installments details, current
status of payment, plans etc..
- Citizens Facilitation Centre (Engineering)
control room has been established by engineering department
whereby any grievance/complaint relating to engineering
department can be lodged and followed up. It is a single point
of contact for any Engineering Department related grievances.
- Registrar Births & Deaths
To facilitate faster retrieval of information regarding
Birth and Death, a solution is in place since last 6 years.
The website of SCDRC "http://admser.chd.nic.in/scdrc" can be
accessed to retrieve the Cause list of State Commission and
District Fora. The status of case under State Commission or
District Fora can also be accessed based on the case number or
party name or advocate name.
Municipal Corporation has also implemented a centralised solution for addressing
complaints/grievances of citizens pertaining to services being
provided by them. A facility to book open spaces/community
centres etc is also provided for the benefit of citizens.
